If a U.S. university, coach, or licensing board has asked you to use an "approved credential evaluation center," they are referring to a specific list of accredited agencies.
Most U.S. colleges and athletic organizations will only accept evaluations from agencies listed in one of these two directories.
The Two "Master Lists" You Need to Know
When choosing an evaluator, your first step is to check if your target school/organization requires a member from NACES or AICE.
NACES (National Association of Credential Evaluation Services): The oldest and largest association of evaluators in the U.S. Many large universities strictly require a "NACES member" agency.
AICE (Association of International Credential Evaluators): A major professional association recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and many athletic bodies (including the NAIA).3
⚠️ Critical Rule: Never pick an agency at random. If your school says "NACES members only" and you use an AICE agency (or vice versa), they may reject your report, and you will have to pay again. Always check your school's website first.
1. NACES Member Agencies
Current as of December 16, 2025
These agencies are active members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
2. AICE Endorsed Member Agencies
Current as of December 2025
These agencies are Endorsed or Active members of the Association of International Credential Evaluators.
Note: InCred is the specific partner for NAIA and NJCAA athletic eligibility.5
Which one should I choose?
For Student-Athletes (NAIA / NJCAA)
If you are playing in the NAIA or NJCAA, you are almost always required to use InCred.
For NCAA & General University Admissions
If you are applying to an NCAA school or to a general university, the choice depends on the university's preference.
Most Common: WES (World Education Services), ECE, and The Evaluation Company (SpanTran) are widely accepted by large universities.
Best Practice: Review the "International Admissions" page on the university website. It will usually say: "We accept evaluations from any NACES member," or "We prefer WES or ECE."
