How to Upgrade or Downgrade Your Plan

You can change your subscription plan at any time from your account. All plan changes are processed through Stripe's secure billing portal.

Upgrading gives you immediate access to additional features and credits.

Steps to Upgrade:

  1. Log in to your uSport.ai account

  2. Click Billing in the left sidebar

  3. Click Manage Subscription

  4. You'll be redirected to Stripe's billing portal 🔒

  5. Select Update Plan or Change Plan

  6. Choose your new plan tier

  7. Confirm the change

What Happens After Upgrading:

  • You gain immediate access to all features in your new plan

  • Advanced features like AI emailing, advanced filters, and Discord community access are unlocked automatically

  • Your billing is prorated and you'll only pay the difference for the remaining days in your current billing cycle

  • Your next full charge will reflect the new plan price


📉 How to Downgrade Your Plan

Downgrading allows you to move to a lower-cost plan while keeping your account active.

Steps to Downgrade:

  1. Log in to your uSport.ai account

  2. Click Billing in the left sidebar

  3. Click Manage Subscription

  4. You'll be redirected to Stripe's billing portal

  5. Select Update Plan or Change Plan

  6. Choose your new plan tier

  7. Confirm the change

What Happens After Downgrading:

  • You keep access to your current plan's features until the end of your billing period

  • The downgrade takes effect on your next billing cycle

  • You'll be charged the lower amount starting with your next invoice

  • Features exclusive to higher tiers (e.g., AI emailing, advanced filters) will no longer be accessible after the current period ends


💳 How Billing Works When You Change Plans

Upgrading:

  • Your credit card is charged immediately for the prorated difference

  • If you upgrade from a $29/month plan to a $49/month plan halfway through your billing cycle, you'll pay approximately $10 (the prorated difference for the remaining 15 days)

  • Your next billing date remains the same

Downgrading:

  • No immediate charge occurs

  • You continue with your current plan until your next billing date

  • Starting with the next cycle, you'll be charged the lower rate

Switching Between Monthly and Yearly:

  • You can switch from monthly to yearly billing (or vice versa) at any time

  • Switching to yearly billing typically provides a discount (billed as one annual payment)

  • Switching from yearly to monthly will take effect at the end of your current annual period

  • Localized pricing may apply depending on your region


🪙 Credits and Usage After Plan Changes

When You Upgrade:

  • You immediately receive the credit allocation for your new plan

  • Unused credits from your previous plan are preserved up to your new plan's monthly limit

Example: If you had 50 credits remaining on a lower plan and upgrade to a plan with 200 monthly credits, you'll have access to those 200 credits immediately

When You Downgrade:

  • Unused credits remain available until your current billing period ends

  • When the downgrade takes effect, your credit balance adjusts to match your new plan's monthly limit

Example: If you have 150 credits remaining but downgrade to a plan with a 100-credit limit, your balance will reset to 100 at the start of the new billing cycle

Credit Rollover:

  • Credits do not roll over between billing cycles

  • Each cycle begins with your plan's designated credit allocation

  • Plan limits determine the maximum credits available per month

Can I upgrade or downgrade multiple times?

Yes. You can change your plan as often as needed. Each change follows the same billing rules (immediate upgrade, downgrade at cycle end).

Will I lose access to features immediately when I downgrade?

No. You'll keep all features until your current billing period ends. The downgrade takes effect on your next billing date.

What happens if I switch from monthly to yearly billing?

You'll be charged for the full year upfront at the discounted annual rate. Your billing date shifts to an annual cycle starting from the date of the switch.

Can I get a refund if I downgrade?

No. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle, so you retain full access to your current plan features until then. No partial refunds are issued.

Do localized prices change if I upgrade?

Localized pricing applies based on your region and remains consistent within that region. Upgrading or downgrading adjusts the amount charged but maintains regional pricing structures.
